It’s been five months since Camille Leblanc-Bazinet had surgery on her right shoulder after suffering a torn labrum in training leading up to the 2017 CrossFit Games. Yesterday, Leblanc-Bazinet achieved a big milestone – her first ring muscle-up post-surgery.
Leblanc-Bazinet did a strict muscle-up with ease and came back down excited that she had no pain and was able to get over the mental hurdle of getting back on top of the rings.
Super big day!!! First strict muscle-up!!! I was SO scared for this and so glad I have people around me to push me to do things like this! Woohoo what a big day 🤗💕 ‘ Saying I was scared to try this is an understatement! #open2018 #hereicome #sohappy #omg @jtodd28 ‘ 5 months post shoulder labrum surgery by @kseng73
Leblanc-Bazinet has been working hard to get back to a competitive level following a slight setback with rehab shortly after her surgery. Since then, however, she has been making progress with her shoulder.
The 2018 CrossFit Open begins in just 30 days. It is unclear whether Leblanc-Bazinet will be healthy enough to give it a go this season. Stay tuned!
