Heavy 17.5 Was Not As Heavy as We Thought

When Heavy 17.5 was announced Saturday night, it was supposed to be 135 pounds for the men and 95 pounds for the women. However, the barbells were incorrectly loaded such that the weights on the floor were only 125 and 85 pounds, respectively.

The good news is that all the athletes used the same weight so the event was fair for everyone.

The other good news is that because the women only used 85 pounds, we can’t feel bad if they beat our time from the Open.
