Michele Letendre retired from competing in the CrossFit Games after last year. However, it appears that the Games veteran will come out of retirement if her team is able to move up into a qualifying spot. Letendre finished 19th in the Canada East region in the Open, but declined her individual invite and has elected to stay with her team, Deka CrossFit.

Deka CrossFit is sitting on the outside looking in right now though. In 19th place, Deka will need some help to get inside the top 15 in their region. With only a few hours until the individual invites are completed, it may be a long shot to see Letendre back on the competition floor but there’s still a chance.

Deka CrossFit has 94 points and sits 25 points outside a qualifying position. Several athletes will need to accept their individual invite and/or several teams will need to decline their invitation.

Letendre is not completely retired from individual sports. Letendre qualified for the Pan American Championships last month.
