The unofficial pec tear count is now up to 6. Alex Vigneault tore his pec in training leading up to Regionals and ultimately withdrew prior to the start of competition. And then during Event 2 at the East Regional, Corey Lunney, Christian Harris, Kyle Cant and Chase Smith all tore their pec.

And then this morning we found out that 18-year-old and two-time CrossFit Games Teen 16-17 division champion Nick Paladino also tore his pec on Friday. Paladino injured himself in the warm-up area just prior to taking the floor. Paladino told CrossFit that he believed the tear was minimal was intentionally went slow on the ring dips during Event 2 to prevent further tearing.

Paladino, who finished 4th on Event 1, went on to place 22nd on Event 2 moving him back to 9th. On Saturday, Paladino took 24th and 17th on Events 3 and 4 and now sits 17th overall.
