Leonid Zhabotinsky, 2x Soviet Olympian, Dies

Leonid Zhabotinsky, a 2-time Soviet Olympian, died at the age of 77 on Wednesday night. Zhabotinsky competed as a super heavyweight in the 1964 Tokyo and 1968 Mexico City Olympics. In 1964, he set a world record along with winning the gold medal. He followed up in 1968 with winning another gold medal for the Soviet Union.

Over the course of his career, Zhabotinsky set 19 world records. The video below shows the winning lift of the 1964 Tokyo Olympics.
