100 Days of Steak in a Row? Bobby Maximus is on Day 42

Most of you probably enjoy a nice steak. Some of you might even have a steak once or twice a week. But there is likely no one who has had a steak for 100 consecutive days…but then there is Bobby Maximus.

Known for his intense workouts, incredible work capacity on the AirDyne, C2 Rower and SkiErg and his involvement with Gym Jones, Maximus also enjoys eating. And not just eating a little. Maximus loves steaks, burgers and fries.

A quick scroll through his Instagram feed will inundate you with workouts, flexing and, of course, picture after picture of huge chunks of meat.

I told y’all I was going to do this shit all the time until I got under 10 minutes and you told me I was crazy: “Bobby don’t do it”, “you’re going to hurt yourself”, “you’re going to overtrain”, “10 minutes is too fast”. Well look at me now motherfuckers. 10:46. New PR and the end goal is in sight. Next stop: sub 10 minutes. A huge thanks to @c.t.ali.fletcher for creating this Press ‘200 rep’ strip set workout. The workout itself is a 200 rep Bench Press Ladder: 10 reps at 245lbs + 10 reps at 225lbs + 10 reps at 205lbs + 10 reps at 185lbs + 10 reps at 165lbs + 10 reps at 145lbs + 10 reps at 125lbs + 10 reps at 105lbs + 10 reps at 85lbs + 10 reps at 65lbs and then back up the ladder. 200 total reps in all. #benchpress #motivationmonday

But while Maximus has been known for eating tons of red meat, it wasn’t until the end of May when he decided to go all out. After announcing a collaboration with New York Prime Beef, the hashtag #100daysofsteak was born. Maximus announced that he would be eating a steak a day for 100 days.

Yesterday was Day 42.

Maximus has posted a photo of his steak every day so far. The amount of steak and butter (required if you are going to eat steak) is insane. Go follow Bobby Maximus and watch as he takes down the remaining 58 days of steak!
