Brooke Wells did not start out the Central Regional as she had hoped. With a 15th place finish on Event 1 and a 6th place finish on Event 2 on Friday, Wells was outside the top 10 overall.

Sitting in 11th heading into Saturday Wells was not in the final heat. In a lane next to Jennifer Smith, Wells began to make her move on Moving Day in Nashville, Tennessee. Wells came out strong on the long down and back chipper going back and forth with Smith. She would go on to win the third heat and take 6th in the event.

That finish would vault her up to 6th place with one more event on Saturday. Once again Wells started out really strong on the handstand walks, but she was most impressive on the 106-pound kettlebell deadlifts. Wells went unbroken early and kept up the pace as the reps increased each round. Moving quickly back and forth between movements, Wells would go on to set an event record with a time of 6:22.4.

While the final heat had a target, Sara Sigmundsdottir and Kelley Jackson were unable to hold the pace on the final round leaving the event win with Wells. Jackson would edge out Sigmundsdottir at the very end to take 2nd. Sigmundsdottir would take 3rd.

Jessica Griffith, leading after Day 1, came back strong on Event 4 after a disappointing 22nd place finish earlier in the afternoon. Griffith now sits in 3rd place overall.
