This past weekend CrossFit New England (CFNE) honored the lives of 24 Navy SEALS who lost their lives protecting ours. Over the course of 24 hours beginning on Saturday at 1pm, a SEAL Hero workout was done every hour on the hour . The challenge was created to raise money for the Navy SEAL foundation.
Members of CFNE jumped in on a Hero WOD or two, but two members – Geoff Leard and Conor Nugent – did all 24 workouts! In total, over 350 workouts were completed by CFNE members.
The event raised over $4,000.
Here are the 24 Hero WODs that were completed.

“Us working out for 24 hours… that shit does not matter. What matters is you guys showing up for us, and for this cause, which is the much bigger picture that we’re trying to focus on. You guys showed up yesterday, you worked out with us in the middle of the night, then you came back and worked out with us all day today. That’s pretty amazing.” -@gbleard _ Big thanks to the @cfne family for coming out strong for this event. We raised about $5,000 for the @navysealfoundation, and that means the world to us. This was the first Teamwork for Team Guys event, but thanks to the support of our friends at @killcliff, this will likely be an annual one. In the meantime, if you’d like to donate to this incredibly worthy cause, follow the link in our bio. See you guys next year! _ #TeamworkForTeamGuys #CFNE #CompTrain #CrossFit #KillCliff

Sunday, 12:08pm: Workout 24. @gbleard addresses the final group of athletes, easily the largest so far. “Us working out for 24 hours,” he begins, nodding toward @conornugent36, “That shit does not matter.” “And we’ll probably never do it again,” he adds, grinning. “What matters is you guys showing up for us, and for this cause, which is the much bigger picture that we’re trying to focus on. You guys showed up yesterday, you worked out with us in the middle of the night, then you came back and worked out with us all day today. That’s pretty amazing”. _ He goes on to talk about William Blake Marston, whose workout has been saved for the very end. Blake was a close friend of Geoff’s and used to drop in a CFNE whenever he was in town. Geoff closes with a line from Blake’s last letter home: “You get what you give, so go, and give well”. _ @killcliff #TeamworkForTeamGuys #CFNE #CompTrain #CrossFit #KillCliff
