There is no doubt the 2019 CrossFit Open will be different this year. One of the changes, though, is the return of the custom leaderboard. CrossFit HQ created a custom leaderboard feature several years ago but mysteriously dropped it in 2018. This year it is back and will use #hashtags to group athletes.

To create a custom leaderboard, you need to first sign up for the Open. As you are creating (or updating your profile) you can use the Hashtag Wizard to create groups like #PoliceVsFire or #TallPeopleDoingFitness.

From there, invite your friends to add the custom hashtag you created. In the CrossFit Open app, you will be able to see how you rank against your friends, gym members or against other tall CrossFitters.
