With registration open for the 2017 CrossFit Team Series, Dave Castro is looking for a partner. The previous three years the Team Series has been comprised of two men and two women on each team. This year, however, the game has changed and now will be teams of two.

The teams can be M/M, F/F or M/F. Yesterday, Castro called Brooke Wells and Camille Leblanc-Bazinet via Facetime asking if they would team up with him. Both said no (although it’s hard to understand Leblanc-Bazinet as she spoke French).

Wells said she might compete with her sister, Sydney, while Leblanc-Bazinet is set for surgery to repair her torn labrum in her shoulder next week.

6:01pm I asked them to be on my team series team. Who else should I ask? @brookewellss @aspiesparks #teamseries

Castro also text messaged Rich Froning to see if he was interested. Froning was also out.

8:27pm @richfroning probably just needs to sleep on it. Then he might change his mind … #teamseries @compexusa
