Dave Castro shared a video over the weekend showing 2017 Demo Team member Alex Parker testing an event the the North Park. The Instagram video shows Parker moving a Rogue Fitness Yoke, custom-made strongman implement for a farmers carry and the Rogue Fat Boy Sled.
It appears Parker is rotating through all three elements as she makes her way down the field. The North Park field is broken up into five segments, possibly 10 yards each, for a total of 50 yards or 150 feet.
By the looks of it, the strongman farmer carries made by Slaters Hardware (Timber Farmers Walk Handles) looked the hardest. The square wooden implements looked bulky and hard to carry easily. On top of that, there are two weight posts on each log that allows Castro to add as much weight as he deems fit.
Our guess is that this will be the Sunday morning event for the individuals. Historically the Sunday morning event(s) include sprints, handstand walks or various quick races with odd objects.
