With just one day remaining at the CrossFit French Throwdown, it appears that it will come down to just two teams battling for the final spot at the 2019 CrossFit Games. Invictus Boston and CrossFit Mayhem Independence have separated themselves from the rest of the Elite teams after Day 2.

After two days and six events, Invictus Boston holds a slim 2-point lead over CrossFit Mayhem Independence. Invictus Boston stormed to the lead after an impressive Saturday. With two event wins and a 2nd place on Saturday, Invictus Boston put itself in position to earn the final invite to the CrossFit Games.

CrossFit Mayhem Independence has been the center of attention following Elly Kabboord’s recent suspension, but that did not slow them down on Friday. CrossFit Mayhem Independence led heading into Saturday, but lost the overall lead even though they never finished outside the top 4 all day.

Both teams enter the final day with everything at stake. There are at least four scored events on Sunday. Event 7 is a waterfall chipper of handstand walks, pistols, box jumps and handstand push-ups. Event 8 is a snatch ladder and will count as two scored events. The Final Event details have yet to be announced.

Team ROMWOD Meat Squad and Team CRSC trail the leaders in 3rd and 4th, respectively. They will need a flawless day tomorrow and some help from Invictus Boston and CrossFit Mayhem Freedom.

Standings after Day 2
1. Invictus Boston (542)
2. CrossFit Mayhem Freedom (540)
3. Team ROMWOD Meat Squad (436)
4. Team CRSC (422)
