Mat Fraser returned to vintage form on Saturday at the Music City Center in Nashville, Tennessee. After a 9th place finish on the first event on Friday, Fraser has turned it up a gear and has won every event since.

On Saturday, Fraser left no doubt as to who is the Fittest Man on Earth. On Event 3, Fraser destroyed the event record set in an earlier heat by nearly 40 seconds. Later that afternoon Fraser set another event record on Event 4. Fraser’s time of 5:09 left the rest of the field to finish their burpees and snatches as he walking around the finish area.

So far this weekend Fraser has won three of the four events and holds an easy lead heading into Sunday. Nick Urankar sits in 2nd place.

The biggest surprise, however, is in 3rd place. Drew Wayman, after a 1st place finish on Triple 3 and at the end of Day 1, was able to hold onto 3rd with just two events remaining. Wayman finished 15th and 16th on Events 3 and 4 Saturday. Wayman is being chased down by Streat Hoerner, Scott Panchik and Alex Anderson.

Panchik, who was in 15th after Day 1, vaulted back into the top 5 after two top 4 finishes on Saturday.

Standings after Day 2:
1) Mat Fraser (364)
2) Nick Urankar (322)
3) Drew Wayman (274)
4) Streat Hoerner (266)
5) Scott Panchik (256)
6) Alex Anderson (254)
