Noah Ohlsen won the Atlantic Regional and made it look easy. But what appeared easy on the surface was the culmination of some pretty intense and nervous weeks leading up to the third and final week of regional competitions.
Two days Ohlsen walked away with the Atlantic Regional title and another invitation to compete at the CrossFit Games, he shared a post on Instagram telling fans that it almost didn’t happen. Ohlsen shared, “A little over two weeks prior to the competition, I tore my right pec doing intervals of dumbbell snatches and ring dips.”
Ohlsen continued, “Needless to say, I made it through unscathed and was just as happy to remain healthy as I was to win.”
We didn’t have much more information or details about what happened until this morning, when Training Think Tank released their latest Road to the Games video, “The Road To The Games Regionals Updates: Noah Ohlsen & The Pec Tear”.
We have started the video to when Ohlsen talks about the workout he was doing when he tore his pec. He goes into detail about how he felt and even shares iPhone footage of the moment the injury occurred.
Here is Ohlsen during Event 2 at the Atlantic Regional. You can see he does all of the ring dips strict.
