SportsBet.com.au and PaddyPower have opened their books and are now taking bets on the CrossFit Regionals. It’s not the first time a sports book has taken bets on the competitive fitness, but it does appear it is a first for Regional events.
PaddyPower, Ireland’s biggest bookmaker, owns the Australian gambling company, SportsBet, and both are taking bets on the winner of the individual competitions for the South and East Regionals this weekend as well as the Pacific Regional next weekend, May 26-28. It’s still unclear if betting will be available for the other regionals.
Mat Fraser, as expected, is the favorite in the East with 1/12 odds while Katrin Davidsdottir is at 4/9. Travis Williams and Camille Leblanc-Bazinet are the favorites out of the South Regional.
In the Pacific, Ricky Garard and Rob Forte lead the pack in the men’s field and Kara Webb is the favorite on the women’s side.
