Wasatch CrossFit’s mantra leading into the 2017 CrossFit Games was #StopTheMayhem. Well, with one day remaining it looks like Wasatch CrossFit will succeed in their goal. After three days of competition and 10 events, Adrian Conway’s Wasatch Brutes hold a staggering 60-point lead over Rich Froning’s CrossFit Mayhem.
Wasatch came out swinging on Saturday taking a 5th on Drag & Drive and following that up with two event victories in the Coliseum. But more importantly, Wasatch finished ahead of CrossFit Mayhem in all three events widening the gap.
Behind Wasatch and Mayhem is a distant 3rd place in CrossFit Fort Vancouver. But Fort Vancouver has some competition for the final spot on the podium. Just six point behind is Reebok CrossFit One.
Sunday brings two blocks of events for the teams. In the morning, the teams will take on the Burpee Litter in North Park. After that, one block remains inside the Coliseum. The event (or events) is unknown.
Top 5 after Day 3:
1) Wasatch Brutes (790)
2) CrossFit Mayhem (730)
3) CrossFit Fort Vancouver (622)
4) Reebok CrossFit One (616)
5) CrossFit Milford (606)
