We already knew Team Event 1 of the 2018 CrossFit Games would include the new Concept 2 BikeErg. Now we know it will be paired with the 4-person deadlift bar that made its appearance at the 2016 CrossFit Invitational.

Dave Castro showed a video of a team complete several 4-person deadlifts. The bar was loaded with 16 45-pound Rogue plates. The bar is an axle bar, making the grip harder for the four athletes. The bar itself weights 84 pounds for the total weight 804 pounds in the video.

Back in 2016 at the Invitational, the top athletes in the world lifted 854 pounds. The event was 21-15-9 of team deadlifts and syncho bar-facing burpees.

Of course with the addition of the BikeErg, we won’t see a repeat from 2016. So what are you guesses on how Castro will implement the deadlift bar at the Games?
