Yelawolf will be performing Saturday night at the CrossFit Games. In an announcement by Dave Castro and CrossFit on social media, the Alabama-based hip hop artist will take the stage Saturday night for all fans who have a ticket.

Like most other announcements about the Games, we still don’t have any other details. The individuals wrap up their competition on Saturday at 8:55pm local time. Our guess is that Yelawolf will take the stage somewhere outside following the conclusion of the individual performance.

The announcement brought mixed reactions by CrossFit fans. Reactions ranged from “lol wut” and “I listen to yela but the CrossFit Games are the last place i would ever want to see him live lol” to “Whoa! Super dope!” and “So excited!!!!”

And others commented that they had never heard of the rapper. For those, here is a little background…

Yelawolf signed with Shady Records (Eminem’s record label) in 2011 and released his first major album shortly thereafter. Since then, he released a mixtape in 2013 and his second album came out in the spring of 2015. He has several singles out since then, including some collaborations.

His most recent single is titled Row Your Boat.
