On January 20, the IPF posted an announcement reminding athletes that attendingĀ seminars hosted by Eddy Coan in Sweden are prohibited by WADA. Coan is on the the IPF Anti-Doping Violation list and is banned for life from the IPF. Because of this, it is “prohibited to attend his seminars as this would violate rule 2.10 (Prohibited Association).
Travis Mash wrote a blog post today about the situation from his perspective. What are your thoughts on this? We’d love to hear your opinions in the comments below.

Eddy Coan set 71 world records in powerlifting and was the lightest person to lift more than 2,400 pounds in the powerlifting total. However, Coan failed a drug testing through the IPF three times. In 1985, he tested positive for Deca-Durabolin, an anabolic steroid, and received a temporary suspension. In 1989, he was suspended again. Then in 1996, he tested positive at the IPF Men’s Open World Championships and was issued a lifetime ban from the IPF.
