The USAW posted the 2016 National Championship Qualifying Totals last week. There were a few men’s weight classes with rather large increases (77 kg, 85 kg, 94 kg & 105 kg). However, very little changes on the women’s side. Only two weight classes, 53 kg and 58 kg, had any change from 2015.
In the Men’s 77 kg class, only 13 of the 52 athletes surpassed the 269 kg qualifying total at the 2015 Nationals in Dallas, Texas. With the bar now raised for most of the men, it will be interesting to see how many can make the leap to the higher standards.
