2018 is shaping up to be a big year for USA Weightlifting (USAW) and its American Open Series. USAW already announced the locations of the other two Series events and the Finals, but the American Open Series 1 might be the biggest announcement of them all.
The first Series event will be held in Columbus, Ohio, on March 1-4 at the 2018 Arnold Sports Festival. In years past, the Arnold has held a USAW-sanctioned event that was a little different than normal meets, but next year the first series event will alongside everything that is the Arnold.
Registration opens January 3, 2018. More details on qualifying totals will be released in the next month.
