USA Weightlifting has announced the venue for next year’s American Open Series Finals. The 2018 finals will be held in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, at the Wisconsin Center on December 6-9, 2018.
This will be the first time since 2010 that the American Open (the finals, not a series event) will be held in the Midwest. This will be the first qualification event for international competitions in 2019.
“We are delighted to have an American Open in the Midwest for the first time since 2010,” USA Weightlifting CEO Phil Andrews said. “Milwaukee provides a central location for our competitors and the Wisconsin Center provides a first-rate facility for one of our most high profile events of the year.”
