As soon as it became known that the world record holder in weightlifting Aleksey Lovchev suspected of doping and disqualified from the competition, we called his father and coach Vladimir Lovcheva.
– We are stunned by the information on the positive doping test, – said Vladimir. – More than ten days ago, we received a blood doping, and the results were negative. On the eve of the World Cup the whole team passed the doping test. The result was negative. I can not say anything … dumbfounded … I learned about it only yesterday. Today, Alex was in the federation. There, too, are all in shock.
