Just three months after injuring his pec at the CrossFit Atlantic Regionals, Jeff Evans is lifting some really big weight on the weightlifting platform. Yesterday, Evans competed at the USA Weightlifting Tampa Classic.
Evans weighed in at 100kg, well below the 105kg weight category. He went in with the goal of qualifying for the Florida State Championships and played it safe.
Evans went 3-for-3 on the snatches finishing with 140kg and then followed that up with a 186kg clean & jerk. The clean & jerk was a 2kg PR for Evans. Evans finished with a 326kg total.
Evans is now preparing for the Miami Classic on October 7-8 and then the FWF Florida State Championships just two weeks later.
The 326g total is also good enough to qualify for the 2017 USAW American Open Finals in December.
