While Jeff Evans retired from the sport of CrossFit, it does not mean that his competitive fire is gone. Evans has moved on to competing in Olympic Weightlifting. Last month Evans competed at the 2017 Tampa Bay Area Classic 4 where he totaled 326kg.

This past weekend Evans outdid last month’s performance at the 2017 FWF Florida State Championships. In his second official weightlifting meet, Evans walked away with two meet PRs. Evans snatched 146kg and clean & jerked 190kg for a 336kg.

Evans competes in the 105kg weight class, but weighed in at 100kg last month. The 336kg total puts Evans well above the 295kg qualifying total in the 105kg weight class for the USAW American Open Finals in December.

The 336kg total would place Evans in 4th at this year’s USAW National Championships, behind some of the biggest names in American weightlifting – D’Angelo Osorio, Ethan Harak and Ian Wilson. If Evans enters the American Open Finals, he could be a contender for a podium.

Check out Evans’ lifts from this past weekend.
