Jessica Lucero clean and jerked 116kg last night at the 2017 USAW National Championships. The lift was double body weight for Lucero who competes in the 58kg weight category. Lucero also set a new American Record with the lift.
Lucero went 5-for-6 with her only miss coming on her last snatch attempt at 94kg. She was the last lifter with all three lifts in both the snatch and the clean and jerk on her way to easily sweeping gold across the board.
Lucero finished with a 92-116-208 stat line. She finished 16kg ahead of 2nd place finisher Sarabeth Phillips. Phillips will be competing in the CrossFit Games Atlantic Regional on June 2-4 in Atlanta, Georgia.
