USA Weightlifting (USAW) announced that the 2018 Nike National University and Under 25 Championships powered by Rogue Fitness will be returning to the Weber State campus in Ogden, Utah. Weber State hosted the event in 2015 and will host it again April 19-22, 2018.
Jeff Robbins, president and CEO of the Utah Sports Commission, commented, “With Ogden having previously hosted the event in 2015, we are thrilled to have the University Nationals return in ’18. This event continues to build our brand as ‘The State of Sport’ and we welcome all the athletes, coaches, and fans to Utah.”
The competition will be a qualifier for the International University Sports Federation (FISU)/International Weightlifting Federation (IWF) World University Championships held in September later in the year.
