2023 iF3 World Championship Heading to Norway

Coming off the 2022 iF3 World Championships this past weekend, next year’s location has been announced. The 2023 iF3 World Championships will be held in Oslo, Norway, on November 24-26, 2023.

The iF3, or International Functional Fitness Federation, launched in 2016 and has steadily grown over the past six years. At this year’s World Championships, 132 athletes from 19 different counties traveled to Hermosillo, Mexico to compete.

Matilde Garnes (NOR) won the women’s senior individual division while Jan Matiaska (SUI) won the men’s division. And in the team competition, Norway won its 4th consecutive team title.

While the iF3 is spreading globally, the sport has been dominated by European athletes over the years. At the 2021 World Championships, Norway won the team competition and all three female podium finishers were from Norway. So it is fitting that the World Championships will be hosted by the Norway Functional Fitness Association, NOR3F).
