All Divisions Will Face Six Workouts at 2025 TYR Wodapalooza Miami Beach

The 2025 TYR Wodapalooza Miami Beach is just over three weeks away. With that, athletes have received the Official Athlete Handbook that gives some insight into what they will encounter when they hit Miami Beach.

One of the items in the handbook is the number of workouts each division will take on. This year, with a new venue and stage set-up, some things are the same as previous years…while there will also be some differences.

To make it simple, every division from elite individuals to all teams to adaptive divisions will complete six (6) workouts. The number of workouts is line with last year, although some divisions saw a workout or two more last year.

The big difference in 2025, however, will be the surface of the competition floor. Just like TYR Wodapalooza SoCal, the Miami Beach venue will feature one stage that is on the sand.

All individual divisions will have three workouts “in sand”. All teams will have two workouts in the sand. Only the adaptive divisions will not have a workout on the sand.

Athletes will be required to wear shoes for all workouts, including the events on the sand.

SWIMMING?

Similar to TYR Wodapalooza SoCal, there will not be any swimming at this year’s TYR Wodapalooza Miami Beach.

EVENT SCHEDULE & WORKOUT DETAILS

All four competition days, Thursday through Sunday, will run from approximately 8:00am EST to 6:30pm EST. The exact timing of events and heats will be published on Competition Corner in the near future.

As for the actual workouts, athletes have been told that all but one workout will be published on the @wodapalooza social media channel and on the wodapalooza.com website. Expect to see those rolling out soon…and let’s hope none will require pushing a D-Ball across the sand, right Emily?

And finally, the elite teams, community divisions and gauntlet podium ceremony will be held at The Clevelander South Beach Hotel Pool Deck after the conclusion of the final event Sunday night. It is unclear if this will open to the public.
