Brooke Wells, Ellie Turner to Join Tia-Clair Toomey at Down Under Championship

Earlier this week, Tia-Clair Toomey announced that she would be competing on a team at this year’s Down Under Championship in November. But who would be joining her on the three-athlete female team was still unknown.

Now we know that fellow PRVN teammate and training partner, Brooke Wells, and two-time Games veteran Ellie Turner will making the trip to Wollongong, Australia, to compete alongside the six-time Fittest on Earth.

Wells is coming off her best finish at the CrossFit Games where she took 5th overall. Turner, from Australia, finished 18th overall at the CrossFit Games earlier this month.

The trio will be competing against 23 other teams in the Elite Teams division during the three-day competition on November 18-20, 2022.

The online qualifier for the Down Under Championship just wrapped up on Monday this week. The top women’s Elite Team was LSKD Gold (Briony Challis, Christee Hollard and Emily De Rooy). Challis and Hollard (Bishop) competed competed on Team CrossFit EXF at the 2022 CrossFit Games where they finished 15th overall. They are joined by De Rooy who finished 7th at this year’s Torian Pro Semifinal.
