Emma McQuaid to Miss WFP Tour Event 1

Emma McQuaid is one of the signed Pro athletes of the World Fitness Project. While all Pro athletes are automatically qualified for both Tour Events and the WFP Finals, McQuaid will not be on the competition floor for Tour Event 1 next month in Indianapolis, Indiana.

McQuaid cited that she is still working through rehab and would not be ready to compete in five weeks.

“We were hoping to be fully fit and ready for rd1 @worldfitnessproject but with only still lifting a empty barbell and no kipping yet we have decided it’s best to sit this one out to focus on being at full strength for round2,” shared McQuaid in the caption of her Instagram post.

With only 19 signed Pro female athletes, the WFP has shared that the top 11 athletes from the Challenger Online Qualifier will be invited to compete in the Pro Division for Tour Event 1.

The Challenger Online Qualifier ended last week and the leaderboard will be finalized Friday, April 4, at 10:00am Eastern Time.

The WFP indicated that all changes following video review will made at once. At least one athlete, Reilly Good, took to social media sharing that his score for Workout 2 was removed because he did not weigh his dumbbell on his video submission.

Good was in 25th place and was in a position to qualify for the Challenger division prior to his workout being invalidated.

As for McQuaid, she will not earn any points for Tour Event 1. With points accumulating over the course of all three events this year, missing one event will make it much more difficult for McQuaid to retain her Pro Card for the 2026 WFP season.
