Eric Botsford is the Senior Vice President of Growth and Platform Expansion for WZA Sports. He attended the Huntington Beach City Council Meeting on September 15 to speak about the upcoming GYMREAPERS Wodapalooza SoCal event beginning tomorrow.
Botsford was the first person to speak during the ‘Community Events Announcements’ segment of the council meeting.
Beyond sharing the event with the citizens who attend the council meeting or watch the riveting six hour meeting on YouTube, Botsford shared some interesting facts about GYMREAPERS Wodapalooza SoCal.
Here are some of the highlights:
- WZA SoCal brought in approximately 4,700 room nights for Huntington Beach in 2025.
- WZA Sports is estimating around an $8 million impact to the Huntington Beach economy this year.
- Over 50 vendors will be at GYMREAPERS WZA SoCal this weekend. One of those vendors will be the title sponsor, GYMREAPERS.
- Over 2,000 athletes will be competing in one of the many divisions.
- GYMREAPERS WZA SoCal will have the main CrossFit programming, but have also added Strongman, USA Weightlifting and and ERGShoot competition this year.
