Mat Fraser has been back in Vermont recently as he prepares to compete for his third consecutive CrossFit Games title. Fraser, like many of his fellow competitors, competed in a triathlon – just in case Dave Castro has something like it store for them in Madison.
Yesterday, Mat Fraser took part in the Basin Harbor Sprint Triathlon. Joining him were also Games competitors Laura Horvath and Dani Horan.
Fraser ended up taking 3rd in the event that featured a 500-yard swim, 12.2-mile bike ride and 3.1-mile run. Fraser was 3rd out of the water, had the 5th fastest time on the bike and made up some time on the run with the 2nd fastest time, 20:01.
Horvath, who traveled to the United States in preparation for the CrossFit Games, took 2nd in the women’s division. Dani Horan finished 18th.
