Misfit P10 Performance has won the 2019 Dubai CrossFit Championship and is the 4th team this season to earn an invite to the 2020 CrossFit Games.
Misfit P10 Performance is a mash-up of two Games teams from last year. The men, Travis Williams and Roy Gamboa, come from last year’s Don’t Stop team that finished 6th. The women, Andrea Nisler and Taylor Williamson, are from last year’s 4th place team, OC3 Black.
This year they have teamed up and have already punched their ticket to Madison.
With only 8 teams competing, Misfit P10 Performance won 6 of the 10 events and never finished worse than 2nd in any event. The team held off We Got Cake, a team consisting of Dani Speegle, Jessica Griffith, Alec Smith and Cody Mooney. Three of the four members of the team finished 2nd at last year’s Games (Speegle filled in for Camille Leblanc-Bazinet at Dubai).
The win means that Misfit P10 Performance joins:
- ROMWOD Meat Squad (CrossFit Filthy 150)
- Team Butcher’s Lab (Pandaland CrossFit Challenge)
- Team Odd Squat (SouthFit CrossFit Challenge)
