Last year, the inaugural FitFest brought together multiple sports to Birmingham, England, for Fitness Festival. Included in that was a 3-team CrossFit showcase competition featuring some of the top athletes around the world. Now, for 2024, the FitFest Invitational is adding a fourth team along with a ‘Europe vs the Rest of the World’ twist.
The 2024 FitFest Invitational team captains will be Ricky Garard, Arielle Loewen, Bjorgvin Karl Gudmundsson and Emma McQuaid. These athletes will have a combined 24 years of CrossFit Games appearances following the 2024 CrossFit Games and are some of the most popular athletes in the world.
No other details have been announced but if it follows the same format as last year, the team captains will draft athletes who have been invited to fill out a six-athlete roster (three men and three women).
The 2024 FitFest Invitational is scheduled for December 7-8, 2024 at the NEC in Birmingham, England. Along with the CrossFit competition, there will be the British Rowing Indoor Championships, England Weightlifting Championships and ATHX.
