Laura Horvath and Jorge Fernandez were announced to be competing at the 2024 Asia Fitness Championship. Horvath and Fernandez, both Adidas athletes, received wildcard invites to compete in Shanghai, China.
Horvath did not compete as she elected to withdraw from the competition and did not step onto the competition floor. She did, however, make the journey to Shanghai with her brother, Kristof Horvath, and was at the venue throughout the weekend.
Fernandez was absent on Friday due to travel complications. He missed a flight and was unable to make it to China in time to compete on Day 1. But he stepped onto the competition floor over the weekend. Fernandez won one event and never finished worse than 4th the remainder of the weekend. He would end up 8th overall despite taking last place on the first two events.
