Ashley Hann competed in the Masters 35-39 division at GYMREAPERS Wodapalooza SoCal this weekend. Hann took 3rd on the final event, but it was enough to move from 3rd and into 1st place.
But how did Hann find out she won?
Well, her division was selected to have the winner undergo drug testing.
It is a bit unclear who administered the drug testing as the email came from WZA Sports, but in a recent story on Instagram Ashley said that CrossFit HQ was in charge of the drug testing.
Either way, it was more drug testing than the masters athletes had at any CrossFit Semifinal that hosted masters athletes this past CrossFit Games season. So that’s cool, I guess.
(if you didn’t know, none of the in-person CrossFit Masters Semifinals this year had drug testing at the competition for the qualifiers)
