WODProof to Host First-Ever Bionic Rowing Challenge

A month after launching the first AI-based rowing coach, WODProof is hosting the first-ever competition judged by artificial intelligence.

Beginning on September 19 and running through October 3, athletes will be scored on the number of clean rowing strokes completed in six minutes…based on the Bionic Rowing ‘Advanced’ level. So…while pace is important, the ultimate factor will be whether your technique is up to par.

Athletes can compete as individuals AND team up with an additional athlete in the Teams of 2 division (MM, FF or MF). The team’s score is the combined score (successful strokes) of the two athletes.

The cost to compete is $20 for the individual competition. The Teams of 2 division is free and is included in the individual registration fee.

The cash purse of the competition is dependent on the number of registered athletes. $10, half of the registration fee, will go towards the 1st place prize. If 180 athletes register, $900 will go to the 1st place male and $900 to the 1st place female.

Second place will earn a 1-year WODProof PRO Package membership. Third place gets 6 months free. And even if you’re not on the podium, WODProof will be choosing an athlete at random to receive a 1-year WODProof Pro Package membership.

For teams, the 1st place team will receive $200 ($100 per athlete) plus 1,000 WODProof coins per athlete. WODProof coins can be used as discounts within the WODProof App. Second and third place teams will receive WODProof coins and a 1-3 month WODProof PRO Package membership per athlete.
