XENOM has announced nine of its 10 workouts. This afternoon the Decathlon of Fitness published its scoring tables for those nine events. The interactive scoring tables allow athletes to enter their predicted scores to see how they might stack up on competition day.
WHAT IS XENOM?
Xenom is a new two-day CrossFit competition where athletes will compete in a fixed 10-event format in some of the largest arenas around the world. The 10 events will be standardized allowing athletes to track their performance over time.

The first event is inside the Ford Center at The Star in Frisco, Texas, on June 27-28. Future competitions will be in London (August), Miami and Paris with more to be announced soon.
THE EVENTS
As mentioned above, there are 10 events that athletes will take on during a competition. Athletes will receive a score for each event, and when combined, will total that athlete’s Elite Performance Index (EPI).Â
The list of events can be found here.
WHAT IS EPI?
The EPI can range from zero (0) to 10,000 (or more).
Each division (Compete, RX and Elite) will have its own scoring. Individuals and Pairs divisions will also have separate EPIs.
As for age groups, each age category will have its own ranking within the divisions.
EVENT SCORING
Each event is scoring on its own scoring curve, meaning that not all workouts are scored the same. Some follow a linear curve while others follow a progressive curve (as you get more reps, the score goes up exponentially).
For the data nerds only, the formula for all the events can be calculated as follows:
A (P-B)^C
A = Scaling factor (how fast points increase)
P = Your performance (reps, weight, time)
B = Minimum standard to score
C = Rewards top end performance
If this doesn’t make sense, it’s all good. There is an interactive EPI calculator that you can enter you predicted reps or weight and get a calculated score for each event.
EPI LEVELS
XENOM has calculated ranges of potential EPI scores to provide guidance on an athlete’s skill level. They have broken it down into five categories:
Novice: 0 – 2,000
Intermediate:Â 2,000 – 3,500
RX:Â 3,501 – 5,000
RX+:Â 5,001 – 7,000
Elite: 7,000+
