On Wednesday, CrossFit Games Director Dave Castro posted a photo to his Instagram profile of Games athlete Dan Bailey and himself laughing during “a casual brief” of the 18.Zero announcement set for Thursday at 10:15 a.m. EST live on the CrossFit Games Facebook page.

At the moment, no one knows what this weird 18.Zero Open announcement could be. Castro is currently in London at the WIT training facility, which is likely where he’ll announce this odd workout, beer chug or anything else Castro can come up with in his conniving mind.

This isn’t the first time he’s surprised athletes with a new wrinkle of what the CrossFit community has been used to. At the 2016 CrossFit Games, Castro sent all the individual men and women competing via plane to where the Games originated at his ranch in Aromas, Calif. After that, anything at this point is possible. It’s Castro’s world and we’re living in it.
