“Imagine being too scared…to compete at the Classic,” read the caption on the Mayhem Classic’s recent Instagram story. In back-to-back stories, Mayhem crossed off the list of athletes who declined the first round of invites to the CrossFit Semifinal. In total, 10 men and 9 women said ‘no’.
As of now, only five men and six women have confirmed that they will be in Cookeville, Tennessee, to compete at the Mayhem Classic.

Second Round of Invites
With athletes declining, Mayhem has sent out a second round of invites to the next batch of athletes.Â
Men: Noah Ohlsen, Gui Malheiros, Harry Lightfoot, Henrik Haapalainen, Saxon Panchik, Sam Cournoyer, Travis Mayer & Nick Mathew
Women: Manon Angonese, Grace Walton, Haley Adams, Paige Semenza, Abigail Domit, Anikha Greer, Claudia Gluck & Fee Saghafi
The Mayhem Classic will ultimately end up with a field of 20 men and 20 women, with three men and women qualifying for the 2026 CrossFit Games. The plan has been to invite 15 men and women using the Rogue Points System and another five coming from special invites.

The 2026 Mayhem Classic will be at CrossFit Mayhem in Cookeville, Tennessee, on April 17-19. It is the first in-person Semifinal of the 2026 CrossFit Games season.
