Last year Mat Fraser and Tia-Clair Toomey took home $285,000 for winning the 2017 CrossFit Games. This year at the 2018 CrossFit Games, the champions at the top of the podium will cash a $300,000 check.
A win for Mat Fraser will push him to the #1 all-time in individual lifetime earnings from the CrossFit Games. Rich Froning is the only athlete who has won over $1 million in CrossFit Games prize money, but Fraser will join (and pass) him on the all-time earnings list (see here).
The total purse at the 2018 Games is $2.6 million, an increase of $200,000 from last year. The individuals will receive the lion’s share of the $200,000 increase with the 35-39 Masters division taking the rest. There are no changes to the teams or rest of the masters’ divisions.
