The 2024 Adaptive CrossFit Games was held in San Antonio, Texas, from September 19-22. It was the first year the competition was hosted by WheelWOD after the adaptive, masters and teen divisions were spun off from the individual and team CrossFit Games.
This year’s Adaptive CrossFit Games featured the most divisions for the Games season and nearly 300 athletes traveled from all over the world to compete in-person.
I was able to make it to San Antonio to watch these amazing athletes take the floor. I wanted to share the energy, dedication, and resilience of the adaptive athletes so I created a three-part Behind the Scenes series of the 2024 Adaptive CrossFit Games.
I take you backstage to witness the preparation, challenges, and camaraderie that fuel WheelWOD. Meet athletes that have had their entire world turned upside down and haven’t let it stop them even for a moment.
