The total number of registrations for the 2026 CrossFit Games is estimated to be 254,690 athletes worldwide. That is an 8.1% increase over last year’s participation in the CrossFit Open. And with the CrossFit Games prize purse based on Open registrations, it means there is 8.1% more prize money available to the athletes this year.
In total, there will be approximately $2,546,900 in prize money disbursed between CrossFit affiliate owners and athletes in the Open, Quarterfinals, Online Semifinals and the CrossFit Games.
This year, the 2026 CrossFit Games champion will take home $312,000! Last year Jayson Hopper and Tia-Clair Toomey-Orr received approximately $278,000 for winning the CrossFit Games.

Open – Affiliate Prizes
The Affiliate Open prizes are split between participation and performance. This year CrossFit has lowered the value of the prize from $2,500 to $1,000 USD. However, this means that more affiliates will receive one of the prizes.
These prizes will be split between participation and performance, but affiliates can only win one gift card, even if they qualify for both.
Based on $509,380, this equates to 509 total gift cards available (255 for participation and 254 for performance). The number of gift cards per region is as follows:
| Region | Participation | Performance |
| NA East | 37 | 37 |
| Europe | 37 | 37 |
| NA West | 37 | 36 |
| Oceania | 36 | 36 |
| South America | 36 | 36 |
| Asia | 36 | 36 |
| Africa | 36 | 36 |
Also new this year is that an affiliate owner will get to choose from a $1,000 CrossFit Affiliate Fee Credit, a $1,000 Rogue Fitness gift card or two tickets to the 2026 CrossFit Games.
