The Age Group Quarterfinal leaderboard is officially closed. This morning, CrossFit announced that the video review process had concluded and that no further changes would be made. The finalized leaderboard comes three days after the Individual Quarterfinal review process was completed.
With the conclusion of Quarterfinals, the top 200 athletes from each age group division will now be invited to compete in the next stage of competition – Semifinals. The Age Group Semifinal is another online competition to narrow the field down to those advancing to the Masters and Teenage CrossFit Games.
The Age Group Semifinal begins on Wednesday, May 8 at 3:00pm Eastern Time (12:00pm Pacific Time) with the release of the workouts. Similar to Quarterfinals, there are two score submission windows:
Window 1: Saturday, May 11 at 5:00pm Pacific Time
Window 2: Monday, May 13 at 5:00pm Pacific Time
Pursuant to Section 4.04 of the 2024 CrossFit Games Rulebook, athletes must use a registered judge (an individual who has completed the 2024 Judges Course) for each workout. Additionally, all workouts must be recorded on video and those looking to advance to the CrossFit Games must submit all of their videos.
As for the video review process for Semifinals, it is similar to that of the Individual Quarterfinal. The top 60 men and women must submit all of their videos per the rulebook. For individuals, it appears that all the top 60 athletes had their videos reviewed with additional athletes reviewed as penalties were incurred.
Following the conclusion of the leaderboard, CrossFit will conduct its video review process with the leaderboard set to be finalized by no later than Tuesday, May 28. At that time, the top athletes from each division will earn an invite to compete at their respective CrossFit Games.
