Arielle Loewen Withdraws from Mayhem Classic; Maddi Foutz Receives Invite

The women’s field at the Mayhem Classic is changing. CrossFit Games veteran Arielle Loewen has officially withdrawn from the first Semifinal competition of the season. Following her withdrawal, the Mayhem Classic has extended a backfill invite to Maddi Foutz.

Loewen, who is looking to qualify for her sixth consecutive appearance at the CrossFit Games, told The Barbell Spin, “My family needs me home more than they need me competing right now.”

Loewen has also received an invite to compete at the Legends Championship a week after the Mayhem Classic. Loewen indicated that she may also withdraw from that competition.

But while it might appear that she will not compete for the remainder of the season, Loewen did say that the Online Semifinals in June is still on the table. Last year, Loewen finished third in the In-Affiliate Semifinals to qualify for the 2025 CrossFit Games.

As for Foutz, she is looking to qualify for her first CrossFit Games. In 2025, Foutz finished 8th at the NorCal Classic along with a 37th place finish in the In-Affiliate Semifinals.

Foutz will join a loaded women’s field at this year’s Mayhem Classic. Fifteen of the 20 women have previously qualified as an individuals to the CrossFit Games. Only three will advance to the CrossFit Games out of Cookeville, Tennessee.

The 2026 Mayhem Classic is April 17-19 at CrossFit Mayhem in Cookeville, TN. Spectator tickets are still available.
