Day of the 2018 CrossFit Games was a doozy. Starting at 8:30am in the morning with a 7.5-mile bike race and finishing around 8:30pm with a Marathon Row left the individual athletes desperate for a rest day to recharge before going at it again on Friday.
In total, the athletes did a 7.5-mile bike ride, 30 ring muscle-ups, 3 max effort back squats, 3 max effort shoulder press, 3 max effort deadlift and 42,195 meters on the rower.
Unfortuntely, though, two athletes were unable to continue the competition. Michele Fumagalli withdrew after crashing her bike on the Crit and Alexandre Caron withdrew after injuring his knee during the CrossFit Total.
But for the rest of the athletes, the completion of the 42,195th meter was relief and a moment they will likely never forget. Many of the athletes shared their thoughts on the day on social media before calling it a night…
Athletes get a day off Thursday before getting back at it Friday morning in the North Park Stadium. First up is The Battleground. Dragging that Rescue Randy is gonna feel real good after the assault on their posterior chain Wednesday.
