Austin Malleolo Deadlifts 600 Pounds and Runs Boston Marathon on Same Day

On Monday, Austin Malleolo did something that has probably never been done before. The five-time CrossFit Games veteran deadlifted 600 pounds and then proceeded to run the Boston Marathon.

In an effort to raise money for BOKS, an initiative of the Reebok Foundation that aims to improve our children mentally, physically, and socially through movement, Malleolo, along with Spencer Hendel, Conor Murphy, Denise Thomas and Kevin O’Connell, ran the 26.2 mile Boston Marathon. Malleolo upped the ante and decided to deadlift 600 pounds to draw more attention to the charity.

Malleolo followed up his deadlift with a 4:27:45 marathon, a sub 10:15/mile pace. For all their hard work, Malleolo and team were able to raise over $30,000 for BOK!
