You either love her or hate her, and she knows it.
Brooke Ence is one of the most widely known CrossFit athletes in the world and she’s only competed in one CrossFit Games (2015). She recently surpassed 1 million followers on Instagram, has her own fitness clothing line “Ence Wear” , a Youtube Channel with over 140 k subscribers, a training program dubbed “Naked Program“, was cast as an extra in Wonder Woman and is by far one of the more controversial CrossFit athletes.
Ence went through spinal fusion surgery on her C6 and C7 vertebrae on March 31, 2017. Post surgery, she began a slow progression back into training at an elite level. For months, she wore a neck brace that was well documented.
She recently competed at the West Regional at the Del Mar Fairgrounds in Del Mar, Calif. As expected, Ence struggled early on finishing no higher than 34th place through the first three events.
However, she surged back in the final three events, finishing no lower than 14th and won her heat in Event 4. Ence finished 27th overall out of 40 athletes and has promised her and her fans a return in 2019.
