Brooke Wells Wins 19.2, Watch Full Video

Brooke Wells has won her first Open workout. Her first worldwide Open victory came from the heavy barbell clean ladder on 19.2. It was not a surprise that Wells did so well in the repeat event from 2016 where Wells took 2nd worldwide, finishing behind Kara Webb (Saunders).

This year almost ended the same way as 2016 as Brooke Haas had posted a faster time, 14:01, than Wells. However, after video review CrossFit determined that Haas only completed 47 double-unders per round versus the 50 as prescribed. CrossFit penalized Haas three seconds per double-under pushing her time down to 14:52. That was still good enough for 2nd worldwide.

With the penalty, Wells moved into 1st place worldwide and earned a $2,019 prize for winning the workout. Check out Well’s full video below.

After 19.3, Wells sits in 3rd place worldwide. Haas is in 21st.
